The training session was attended by Dr. Julian Álvarez, member of Herbalife's Nutrition Advisory Committee, a famous sports science and nutrition expert from Spain, and more than 1,000 coaches and athletes at sports training and coaching centers across the country, participating in person and online at the connecting points.

Speaking at the training session, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet - Director of the Vietnam Sports Department said that in recent years, Vietnamese Sports has achieved many impressive achievements in regional, continental and world arenas.
These achievements are the result of the constant efforts of athletes and coaches, along with the attention and direction of the Party, State and the support of domestic and foreign sports organizations.
However, to further improve sports performance, in addition to technical, tactical and psychological factors, sports nutrition plays an extremely important role. A scientific and reasonable nutritional regimen not only helps athletes maximize their competitive ability, but also helps them recover quickly after training and avoid injuries.

Correctly understanding and applying nutritional principles helps athletes not only maintain optimal physical fitness but also shorten recovery time, limit injuries and achieve peak performance in competition.
In particular, in the increasingly harsh context of high-performance sports, the issue of recovery after major exercise and anti-doping is an urgent requirement. A number of recent violations show the need to raise awareness and control the use of dietary supplements, ensuring safety, effectiveness and compliance with international regulations.
Many countries have focused on researching and applying nutritional supplements as an essential part of the training and recovery process for athletes - this is also a direction that Vietnamese sports need to pay attention to and systematically implement.

"The course is an opportunity for managers, coaches, sports medicine experts, and athletes to update new knowledge and exchange practical experiences on nutrition, recovery, and athlete health care. This is also a concrete step to realize the policy of professionalization in athlete training and care.
In the context of Vietnamese sports aiming for the SEA Games, ASIAD and Olympics, investment in improving physical fitness, nutrition and sports science is extremely necessary. Courses like today also demonstrate the effective connection between the State, businesses and professionals - joining hands for the goal of developing Vietnamese sports professionally, sustainably and internationally," Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet emphasized.
The training program focuses on integrating nutritional science into athletes' preparation, performance, and recovery. Based on international best practices, Dr. Álvarez shares personalized nutritional approaches that address the different needs of athletes of different sports, genders, and ages, while ensuring the safe use of dietary supplements and the long-term health of athletes...
