The event was hosted by the Vietnam Athletics Federation, with the participation of Asian Athletics President Dalan Jumaan Al-Hamad and Council members who are leading athletics leaders from many countries in the region. Vietnam's successful organization of a continental-scale event continues to affirm the increasingly prominent role of Vietnamese Athletics in the Asian sports system.

Speaking at the meeting, the President of Asian Athletics stressed that this is “the time for Asian Athletics to move towards the future”, focusing on the extensive implementation of the Asian Athletics Development Strategy for the period 2023–2030 with clear goals for each stage.
In addition to the orientation of raising the position of Asian athletics on the world sports map, the strategy prioritizes attracting young people to the core Olympic sport through models of developing the movement in schools; increasing the application of technology in management, training and competition organization; and strengthening the cooperative relationship with World Athletics to overcome common challenges and achieve sustainable results by 2030.
The President of Asian Athletics affirmed that the fact that up to 60% of young track and field athletes in the world come from Asia shows the development premise of Asian Athletics in the coming decades.

At the meeting, the host representative - Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, member of the Asian Athletics Council - presented a series of strategic proposals, aiming to strongly promote the development of Vietnamese athletics, while actively contributing to the overall growth of regional athletics.
In the field of grassroots sports, Vietnam requested Asian Athletics to support the implementation of a youth athletics program in schools nationwide; at the same time, it aims to standardize the domestic grassroots competition system through the development of a set of criteria for managing and organizing running events that are developing strongly in the community.
Regarding high-performance sports, Vietnam proposed that Asian Athletics introduce high-quality training locations so that the national team can train long-term, aiming to win gold medals not only at the SEA Games but also at the ASIAD and Asian Championships, and furthermore, to qualify for the Olympics.
Vietnam also asked Asian Athletics to support connecting the world's leading experts to work directly with the national athletics team, creating motivation to improve training and competition levels.
In terms of organizing international tournaments, the Vietnamese representative clearly stated the hosting roadmap in the coming period, in which from now until 2027, Vietnam aims to organize a Southeast Asian regional athletics tournament; by 2030, it will aim to host a continental tournament.
These proposals received consensus and high appreciation from the President as well as Council members, demonstrating Asian Athletics' strong belief in the potential, organizational capacity and determination to develop athletics in Vietnam.

The President of Asian Athletics said that Vietnam is an active member with many important contributions and possesses great potential to reach the continental and world level. He expressed his belief that Vietnam's efforts, combined with support from Asian Athletics and World Athletics, will bring about strong progress in the coming time.
In his closing remarks, President Dalan Jumaan Al-Hamad gave positive comments on the organization of the host country. He affirmed that Vietnam is a beautiful country, rich in culture and history, and an ideal place to host regional sporting events.
The Vietnamese Organizing Committee was recognized for its serious, professional and effective preparation, ensuring the quality of the meeting program and sideline activities. The Chairman said that all Council members were “happy and satisfied” when attending the working sessions as well as the tour program in Hanoi .
He also appreciated the attention of Vietnamese sports leaders to the development of athletics, especially after his visit to the National High-Level Athlete Training Center, where he directly witnessed the serious spirit and strong desire to improve of the national team.
By successfully organizing the 105th Asian Athletics Council meeting, Vietnam continues to affirm its increasingly strong position in the region, while making an important contribution to shaping the development strategy of Asian athletics in the new period.
Consensus and trust from international organizations open up new prospects, creating a foundation for Vietnamese athletics to move towards regional and international goals, especially the development roadmap to 2030.
