Live broadcast of the 80th Anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day

On August 17, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The program will be broadcast live at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025 on VTV1, Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam channels; TV channels, newspapers and radio and television stations of provinces and cities will rebroadcast.

Before the ceremony, at 7:00 a.m. on the same day, the delegation of leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and the delegation of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at the Heroes and Martyrs Memorial on Bac Son Street, Hanoi .

In the article "Heroic qualities, steadfastness in 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the People's Public Security force", General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security emphasized that in 80 years of accompanying the country, going through revolutionary stages, facing countless difficulties and challenges, the People's Public Security force has always been steadfast, steadfast, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, upholding the spirit of revolutionary offensive, heightening the spirit of vigilance, devoted to work, ready to sacrifice for the country, taking the interests of the Fatherland and the People as the ideal, devoting all their strength, intelligence and even their lives to protect the Party, the State, the socialist regime, protecting the peaceful and happy life of the People.
