Inauguration of the project to upgrade and expand the Ca Mau - Dam Doi route

On the morning of August 19, together with the whole country, Ca Mau province held the inauguration ceremony of the Project to upgrade and expand the Ca Mau - Dam Doi route (from Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street to Xom Ruong Bridge) (Project), to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ho Trung Viet; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su attended the ceremony.

The project started on May 13, 2022, with a total investment of more than 770 billion VND, using the central budget support and the budget of Ca Mau province in the medium-term public investment plan, period 2021 - 2025, with the Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board as the investor. The route is 19.2 km long, with a designed axle load of 10 tons.

After the project is completed and put into use, it will contribute to completing the province's transport infrastructure system according to the approved planning; increase connectivity with important transport routes of the province, meet the travel and freight transport needs of people and businesses. Thereby, promoting socio -economic development, ensuring security - defense and social order and safety of Hoa Thanh ward, Tran Phan commune, Dam Doi commune in particular and Ca Mau province in general.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su acknowledged and commended the efforts of the investor, contractors and related agencies and units who contributed their efforts and overcame many difficulties and obstacles to complete the project; welcomed and commended the continuous support of the people of Hoa Thanh ward, Tran Phan commune and Dam Doi commune in implementing the land recovery plan, promptly handing over the site to construct the project on schedule.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Ho Trung Viet awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to the collectives.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su requested that during the exploitation and use of the project, the management and exploitation unit and local authorities must perform well the management and protection of road traffic safety corridors; regularly maintain the project to maintain quality, ensure traffic safety, and maximize the effectiveness of project investment.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Ca Mau province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Central Government. Thereby, he hoped that the Central Government would continue to pay attention and support resources, especially investment resources for the construction of transport infrastructure, creating conditions for Ca Mau province to soon exploit its potential and advantages to develop.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives and 25 individuals with achievements in contributing to the implementation of the Project.
