Các trường đại học bắt đầu công bố điểm chuẩn năm 2025 từ chiều 20-8.
Universities began announcing 2025 benchmark scores from the afternoon of August 20.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training , from 5:00 p.m. today (August 20), training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the common system, then review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results.

The deadline for announcing benchmark scores and university admission results is before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

Thus, from this afternoon, candidates can look up their benchmark scores and university admission results for the first round. After that, they need to confirm their admission online through the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system; and must complete it no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2025.

Before this time, all candidate registration data had been sent to the general admission system. The Ministry of Education and Training and the schools had carried out a total of 6 virtual filtering processes to ensure that each candidate was only admitted to the highest registered wish, avoiding virtual "occupying of seats" and optimizing the allocation of quotas between schools.

The 2025 university admission scores are determined by the percentile method, to ensure fairness among candidates applying for admission using different methods and combinations. Some schools may announce separate admission scores for each method or combination, while others provide a common score with a corresponding conversion table.

It is predicted that this year's benchmark scores may decrease in some traditional combinations such as A00, A01, B00 and D01 because the average score range of this year's high school graduation exam is significantly lower than last year. Specifically, the average math score has dropped sharply, from about 6.45 to 4.78, leading to a trend of benchmark scores decreasing by 1-3 points, depending on the major and school.

However, “hot” industries such as information technology, artificial intelligence, health care, medicine, etc. still maintain a high level of competition. It is likely that the benchmark for this group will remain the same or only decrease slightly, and in some places, it will even increase slightly compared to last year.
