Currently, the province has over 165,000 children and teenagers participating in activities at 365 youth organizations. To ensure children can study and train in the best possible environment, the youth organizations have built a healthy and safe environment; focusing on equipping them with skills and fostering their spirit, contributing to their holistic development.
Cultivating ideals, ethics, and lifestyles.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Vice President of the Provincial Youth Union Council and Deputy Head of the Youth and Children's Affairs Committee, stated: Building on the glorious 85-year tradition of the Youth Union, organizations at all levels have implemented many innovative movements and models such as "Small Plans," "Helping Each Other," and "Creative Experiential Recess." Through these initiatives, they have contributed to building a safe and healthy educational environment, helping children develop comprehensively in terms of morality, intellect, physical health, and aesthetics, and contributing to the development of their homeland. Many children have won the Kim Dong Award, the title of "Hero of a Thousand Good Deeds," and the "Good Child of Uncle Ho" at the national level.
The work of educating children about traditions, fostering revolutionary ideals, and instilling patriotism has been implemented synchronously by youth organizations at all levels, with many creative approaches suitable to practical conditions. From primarily using visual methods of dissemination, youth organizations have applied technology to create infographics, clips, and animated films about history, historical sites, and historical figures for dissemination through their information channels, while also organizing forums in both online and in-person formats.

In addition, the youth teams also organize many experiential activities and traditional education programs linked to local realities. Notably, 100% of the youth teams organize the "Journey to Red Addresses" program, regularly maintain activities such as "Paying Gratitude and Showing Respect," "Remembering Our Roots," organizing the care of martyrs' cemeteries and historical relics, and visiting families of policy beneficiaries. From 2020 to the present, the Provincial Youth Council has advised on the issuance of more than 240 documents on youth team leadership and the care, protection, and education of children and teenagers; and more than 500 documents specifying youth team work programs and children's movements. As a result, 100% of the movements, activities, competitions, and playgrounds launched by the central and provincial authorities have been implemented in the youth teams, creating a widespread impact among youth members and children.
Create a training environment.
In addition to focusing on traditional education, ethics, and lifestyle, the youth union and children's organization at all levels in the province also create an environment for children to compete in learning and training. Movements such as "Vietnamese Children Competing to Follow the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho," "Small Plans," and "A Thousand Good Deeds" are implemented flexibly and appropriately for each age group, attracting a large number of participants.

To support children in their studies, 100% of the youth teams launched movements such as "Overcoming difficulties to study well," "Excellent grades," and "Clean notebooks and beautiful handwriting"; effectively maintaining models like "Helping each other," "Two friends progressing together," and clubs focusing on skills and children's rights. In schools, the head of the youth team, in coordination with subject teachers and homeroom teachers, guided children on learning methods, nurtured their talents, and encouraged them to participate in science , computer science, and foreign language competitions.
Furthermore, innovative experiential learning models have been widely replicated. From 2020 to the present, 100% of youth organizations have maintained the "Creative and Innovative Recess Time" model, attracting over 360,000 participants. Simultaneously, the "Youth Member Training" program, physical education and sports activities, and youth group rituals practice have been regularly implemented, with over 300,000 children participating. The work of building a safe school environment has been given attention; youth organizations have organized nearly 1,000 thematic sessions and forums on building beautiful friendships, preventing school violence, and promoting appropriate behavior in schools.
These activities not only contribute to the moral, intellectual, and skill development of children but also affirm that the Youth Union is a common home, caring for their holistic development. The effectiveness of these movements and campaigns is demonstrated through the "Small Plan" movement, which raised 500 million VND, building over 30 "Red Scarf" houses, libraries, and playgrounds; the "For Our Beloved Children" campaign, which supported over 112,000 disadvantaged Youth Union members and children; and the "Helping Each Other in Learning" movement, which has been maintained with over 21,000 pairs of friends helping each other in their studies.
Mr. Trieu Anh Tuan, Head of the Youth Union at Loc Binh Secondary School, Loc Binh commune, said: "The Youth Union has about 1,000 members. Over the past time, the Youth Union has always focused on creating the best environment for the students to develop. In particular, 100% of the movements, activities, competitions, and playgrounds launched by the central and provincial authorities are implemented at the branch level. Each month, we choose one theme to organize extracurricular activities, visits, and learning experiences at 'historical sites'... the students are very enthusiastic and actively participate. This helps them explore, build self-confidence, develop comprehensively, and improve their academic performance."
From these emulation movements, many exemplary individuals have emerged. Over the past five years, more than 400 children in the province have been honored; including 14 children who received the title of "Good Child of Uncle Ho" at the national level; 12 children who received the title of "Hero of a Thousand Good Deeds" at the central level; 8 children who received the Kim Dong Award; and 4 children who were honored as "Little Soldiers of Dien Bien Phu".
The glorious 85-year journey of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization is closely linked to the growth and development of many generations of Vietnamese children. For the children of Lang Son, this is an environment for members to learn, train, and become good children, good students, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho. In the coming time, the Youth Union and Young Pioneers Organization at all levels will continue to promote emulation movements; strengthen education on traditions, life skills, digital transformation, and child protection in the online environment; and pay attention to caring for children, especially in difficult and border areas.
