Tu Le strives for sustainable poverty reduction

Identifying 2025 as a difficult year for poverty reduction, Tu Le commune is making efforts to speed up the implementation of policies to support poor and near-poor households with the determination to reduce 189 poor and near-poor households in 2025 (equivalent to a poverty reduction rate of 7.31%).

Since the beginning of the year, Tu Le commune has reviewed and identified the main causes of poverty, analyzed and evaluated the deprivation indicators in each household. From there, the commune has identified specific and appropriate policies and solutions to support poor households to have more motivation to rise up.

At the same time, actively carry out communication work, mobilize to change thinking and working methods, arouse the will to escape poverty, overcome the mentality of waiting and relying on the support and investment of the State.

Mr. Ly A Sau - Secretary of Se Sang village Party Cell shared: In 2025, the village was assigned to reduce 7 poor households. The Party Cell has developed and issued a resolution on poverty reduction, assigning specific tasks to each party member in charge of household groups to take the lead, do it first, then propagate, mobilize, and guide people to follow.

In addition to 65 hectares of double-crop rice cultivation to ensure food security, people in Se Sang village have boldly expanded 3 models of commercial goat farming with a scale of 50 or more, 2 models of buffalo and cow farming with a scale of 10 or more, a model of growing Tan sticky rice with a scale of 5 hectares in the direction of goods, a model of growing bamboo shoots with an area of ​​over 3 hectares... to increase income.

In the first months of 2025, the commune focused on implementing support for house building and vocational training according to the province's programs and projects, helping people access 2 out of 6 basic social services.

At the same time, urgently overcome the consequences after 4 natural disasters, complete the restoration of basic social services in education , health care, and communications in the area.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the commune had 212 people with jobs; 42 households were provided with funds to build new and repair houses to ensure 3 hard standards.

In addition, local socio -political organizations also performed well their entrusted role with Van Chan Social Policy Bank, from reviewing and appraising subjects, disbursing in a timely manner to accompanying and advising on production and business methods so that borrowers could use capital for the right purpose and effectively.

As of October 31, the whole commune had 1,157 poor and near-poor households borrowing capital, with total outstanding debt reaching 63.2 billion VND.

From preferential loans, many households have boldly built and developed economic models suitable to local advantages such as: growing specialty rice, raising livestock or developing community tourism. Typical examples include Ms. Nung Thi Vien in Ban Com village, Nghiem Thi Thanh, Luong Thi Minh, Vi Van Cuong in Pom Ban village...

After the merger, Tu Le commune urgently completed the Poverty Reduction Steering Committee, assigned specific tasks to members in the spirit of clear people, clear work, responsible for each village, each poor household, each criterion; established the National Target Program Steering Committee to determine the contents of support projects in accordance with the decision to allocate and assign budgets from national target programs.

In 2025, Tu Le commune was assigned 6,791.8 million VND to implement national target programs, of which the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction is 2,106 million VND to implement 4 projects; the National Target Program on Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas is 4,670.7 million VND to implement 7 projects...

Mr. Dinh Khanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Tu Le Commune People's Committee said: Currently, the commune has issued a decision to allocate capital to specialized departments for urgent implementation. We hope to soon have detailed instructions on procedures for the commune to implement.

In the last two months of the year, Tu Le commune will make the most of the State's support resources and programs and projects to promptly allocate them to the right beneficiaries. Currently, the commune is completing procedures to implement livelihood support for 51 poor households through the model of breeding buffaloes and cows, with a support level of 2 buffaloes and cows/household; opening 2 short-term vocational training classes, supporting nutrition improvement in highland villages...
