The Smile Surgery Program, jointly implemented by Operation Smile Vietnam and My Thien Dental Hospital ( Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), was implemented from July 14 to 18. Nearly 100 children with facial deformities were brought to the hospital for screening by their families.

The subjects supported in the program include: Children with cleft lip from 2 weeks old and up; children with cleft palate from 12 months old, weighing at least 9.5 kg; patients with sequelae of cleft lip - palate at all ages (lip scars, nasal deformities, dental arch clefts...); patients with congenital ptosis (over 5 years old, no ophthalmic disease). All surgeries are performed completely free of charge. In addition, the program also supports accommodation and travel expenses for patients and their families during treatment.
Ms. Huynh Thi Bao Ngoc, a Vietnamese American, sponsored the entire cost of 50 free surgeries this time, contributing to bringing life-changing opportunities to many disadvantaged children with facial deformities.

During 36 years of operation in Vietnam, Operation Smile has connected thousands of kind hearts to perform surgery for more than 78,000 patients - equivalent to 78,000 lives touched, healed not only physically but also mentally.
