On November 12th, Hoang Dinh Can, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department, chaired a press conference to provide information about the 2nd Long An Provincial Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in 2024.
The 2nd Long An Province Culture - Sports - Tourism Week 2024 will take place from November 28th to December 4th with 11 main activities organized in Tan An City, Ben Luc District, and Duc Hue District.
The most notable event was the Opening Ceremony, themed "Long An – Aspiration of the Vam River," held at 8 PM on November 28th. This vibrant artistic program showcased and promoted the culture and image of Long An. A highlight of the ceremony was a light show in the sky using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
Through the activities of the 2nd Long An Provincial Culture - Sports - Tourism Week, the province will introduce attractive tourism products, distinctive cuisine, tourism services associated with local cultural values, as well as spectacular sports competitions and music festivals.
On this occasion, visitors were also introduced to the culture, potential, and strengths of several localities in South Korea participating in the event. Through the event, the connection, cooperation in economic and cultural development, and people-to-people exchanges between Long An province and localities in Vietnam, as well as with localities and partners in South Korea, were strengthened. In particular, the Long An Province Investment Promotion Conference 2024 and the conference on linkage, cooperation, tourism promotion, and OCOP product promotion between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region, within the framework of the 2nd Long An Province Culture - Sports - Tourism Week 2024, also provided an opportunity for Long An to cooperate with partners, link with localities in Vietnam and around the world, and promote industrial, commercial, and tourism investment.
According to the Organizing Committee's projections, the 2nd Long An Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Week is expected to welcome approximately 1 million visitors. This event will help Long An promote its image, develop tourism tours and routes, and attract future investment.
