MU has no intention of selling Maguire. |
MU has been active in the transfer market this summer. They have brought in new players Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, while continuing to search for a central midfielder with Carlos Baleba as the top target.
To raise money to cover the transfer fee, the "Red Devils" are looking to sell players. Antony, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho are the ones who are likely to leave to help the Old Trafford club balance their finances.
However, Harry Maguire is certainly not on the list of people forced to leave Old Trafford. He shared: "There were a few teams in contact and received a quick response from MU. I am sure the club made it clear that I cannot leave under any conditions this summer."
Maguire said his contract was extended until 2026, but there was still the opportunity to negotiate with clubs outside the Premier League early next year. However, Maguire hinted that he wanted to continue his long-term commitment to Old Trafford: "This is a great club to play for and it would be foolish to want to leave early."
Maguire is entering his seventh season at United after joining from Leicester in 2019 for a world record fee of £80 million for a defender. On August 17, Maguire replaced Luke Shaw for the final 10 minutes of the 0-1 loss to Arsenal in the opening round of the 2025/26 Premier League.
