Many players were bitten by mosquitoes. This made it difficult for the whole team to gather for meetings or team bonding. Most players and staff had to go into offices to avoid mosquitoes, and it was almost impossible to go out at night.

“We are facing the risk of disease spreading because of mosquitoes. The team needs some wind and less mosquitoes in the camp. Otherwise, everyone will have to live in the office,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann.

To temporarily solve the problem, German players are given mosquito spray every evening. At the same time, the team's bedrooms are also equipped with mosquito nets to avoid mosquito bites. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has had to remind his teammates to always close the nets when sleeping.
