Tuyen Quang: Rising river water causes flooding on many roads in Ha Giang 1 and Ha Giang 2 wards.

From October 7 to the morning of October 8, hydropower plants upstream of Mien and Lo rivers discharged floodwaters, causing the water level of Lo river through Ha Giang 1 and Ha Giang 2 wards, Tuyen Quang province to rise, flooding a number of roads and residential areas.

Early morning on October 8, rising river water flooded many roads and flooded houses at night.

Many deeply flooded areas such as groups 1, 2, 3 Minh Khai, Ha Giang 2 ward; Cau Trang area and Thien Ward intersection in Ha Giang 1 ward are deeply submerged in water.

As soon as the water level rose, the local authorities mobilized functional forces to assist people in moving their properties to safety. They dispatched forces to key locations to be on standby and assist people in leaving the danger zone.

On the morning of October 8, at flooded areas, authorities remained on duty to direct traffic and promptly handle arising situations.

This is the second time this week that rising river water has caused flooding in Ha Giang wards 1 and 2. Previously, on September 30 and October 1, rising Lo river water caused widespread flooding, leaving tens of thousands of households in wards and communes in Tuyen Quang province submerged in water, causing huge property damage.
