Admission to Hanoi National University: Taking the test on computer

Hanoi National University has announced the exam schedule and instructions for taking the aptitude test. This is the only unit that organizes its own exam to determine admission results in this year's admissions.

Candidates can take the exam in 2 rounds.

According to the announcement, in 2015 there will be 2 registration rounds. In each round, candidates can only register for the exam once.

Candidates applying for admission to the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi must take two exams: an aptitude test and a foreign language test. The instructions clearly state: The general aptitude test consists of three parts with a total of 140 questions, equivalent to 140 points, with a total test time of 195 minutes, including two compulsory parts: quantitative thinking - mathematics (50 questions, 80 minutes) and qualitative thinking - literature (50 questions, 60 minutes); an optional part (40 questions, 55 minutes); Candidates can choose one of two parts: natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) or social sciences (history, geography,civics ).

Candidates will complete each section of the test in turn according to the time limit for each section and press the “finish” button when finished. Each section can only be completed once and once the “finish” button is pressed, the section cannot be redone. If the section is completed early, the remaining time of that section will not be added to the next section.

Know your score immediately after taking the test

Candidates log in to their account (the account card is provided in the examination room) to take the test on the computer. Candidates are free to change their options (for multiple choice questions) or re-enter calculated values (for fill-in-the-blank questions) during the test period of each section. Candidates cannot intentionally retake the test from the beginning, for example by logging in again from the beginning or in any other way. During the test, if candidates encounter computer problems or other abnormalities, they must immediately notify the invigilator. Before leaving the examination room, candidates must return the login card and sign the examination list.

Immediately after completing all 3 parts, candidates will be able to see their test results displayed on the results page, including total score, total number of correct questions, total time spent, number of correct questions in each part, detailed score of each part, time spent in each part; and a section to view details of each part of the test that they have done and correct answers.

The certificate of exam results has the confirmation stamp of the Hanoi National University Examination Center and the signature of the chairman of the examination council. Candidates will receive the notice before June 6 (phase 1), before August 8 (phase 2).

Notably, the admission regulations of this university clearly state: "No re-examination of competency assessment tests and foreign language tests will be organized."

Application can be withdrawn once

The admission application form clearly states: the first round of admission application form, the supplementary round, has 3 blank boxes for candidates to register 3 desired majors in order of priority from 1 to 3. During the prescribed time for receiving admission application forms, candidates are allowed to withdraw their application once to apply to another major of the school or faculty under Hanoi National University. Candidates who have passed the first round of admission are not allowed to register for the supplementary round.

The deadline for the first round of admission is before September 5 every year.

Registration period: Phase 1: From March 25 to April 15. Phase 2: From June 20 to July 10.

Official exam time: Round 1: May 30 and 31. Round 2: August 1 and 2.

Registration fee for the competency assessment test: 100,000 VND/student/test. Registration fee for the foreign language test: 35,000 VND/student/test.
