Propaganda and equipping skills to prevent school violence

BDK.VN - The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Police have coordinated to organize a series of activities to propagate and equip students with skills to prevent and combat school violence (BLHD) in the province in 2025, taking place from April 27 to May 12, 2025, at many high schools, junior high schools, and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers (VEC) in the province.

According to the assessment of functional units, the current situation of domestic violence is on the rise and is very complicated. Domestic violence is understood as acts of torture, abuse, beating, physical and health harm, insult, insult to honor and dignity, isolation, expulsion and other intentional acts causing physical and mental harm to learners occurring ineducational institutions or independent classes.

Students who are victims of violence often have a tendency to not be able to concentrate on their studies and are afraid to go to class, leading to a decline in their academic performance. Students who commit violence also face disciplinary action from the school and, more seriously, legal prosecution.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - President of the Provincial Youth Union Council Vo Thi Phuong Dieu informed that the series of propaganda activities, equipping students with skills to prevent and combat domestic violence in the province in 2025 aims to raise awareness and enhance understanding for students as well as the community about domestic violence, its consequences and prevention methods.

Thereby minimizing the harmful effects of violence, building a safe, friendly and healthy school environment, contributing to building a "Green - Clean - Dynamic" and "Happy School".

The organizers presented gifts to students who participated in handling situations in the interactive play to promote the prevention of school violence.

At the propaganda sessions at the schools, students watched interactive skits on the topic of preventing and combating child labor; interacted and handled situations with gifts; representatives of the Criminal Police Department - Provincial Police and functional departments trained skills and related content on child labor prevention and combat for teachers, Youth Union leaders, Youth Assistants, School Youth Union Executive Committees, School Unions and students.

Currently, the propaganda activities have been organized at 3 locations: Phan Van Tri High School (Giong Trom), Ba Tri District Continuing Education Center (Ba Tri) and Pham Van Bay Secondary School (Mo Cay Bac).

According to the plan, the morning of May 10, 2025 will be held at Huynh Tan Phat High School (Binh Dai), the afternoon of May 10, 2025: Mac Dinh Chi High School (Chau Thanh); the morning of May 11, 2025: Thanh Phu District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (Thanh Phu), the afternoon of May 11, 2025: Quan Trong Hoang High School (Mo Cay Nam); the morning of May 12, 2025: Ngo Van Can Secondary School (Cho Lach) and the afternoon of May 12, 2025: Lac Long Quan High School ( Ben Tre City).
