Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee holds regular meeting in September 2024

On the afternoon of October 10, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting in September 2024 to evaluate the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee in the process of implementing socio -economic development targets, ensuring national defense and security in the first 9 months of the year and deploying tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.

The report at the meeting said that in the first 9 months of 2024, the province's socio-economic situation continued to develop, with most indicators showing good growth. Agricultural production continued to develop stably, with good harvests and prices, contributing to improving sustainability and promoting agricultural development in the province. Winter-Spring crop production exceeded the plan by 20%.

Compared to the same period last year, the total product value in the area at current prices is estimated at more than VND 84,029.9 billion, up 12.25%; mobilized social investment capital is estimated at VND 25,576 billion, up 3.55%; total retail sales of goods and service revenue is estimated at more than VND 81,005 billion, up 11.7%; total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at VND 6,208 billion, up 10.8%, equal to 73% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council; total export turnover is estimated at 1,440 million USD, up 29.2%; the whole province has 1,084 newly established enterprises, up 0.6%; The new rural construction program has been focused on implementation. Up to now, the whole province has 79/151 communes meeting 19/19 new rural criteria, reaching 52.32%, 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 01 district-level unit meeting new rural standards.

Diseases in humans, crops and livestock are controlled and basically stable. Cultural and sports activities, job creation, social security and poverty reduction continue to receive attention, ensuring people's lives. Land and mineral management and environmental protection are focused on. Administrative reform has many positive changes. National defense is strengthened, sovereignty, territory, border security, political security and social order and safety continue to be maintained.

In addition to the achieved results, the socio-economic development situation of the province in the first 9 months of 2024 still has some shortcomings such as: the total value of industrial products is lower than the growth scenario set by the province; the production situation of some key industrial products in the province decreased compared to the same period in 2023 such as steel decreased by 5.5%, electricity production decreased by 6.8%, rubber decreased by 2.1%...; production and business activities of enterprises are still facing difficulties, the number of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises is still high; provincial land use fee collection is low; investment attraction has improved but has not met the set requirements; security and order in some fields and areas are sometimes complicated; violations of the law, social order and safety, and violations of forestry laws still occur...

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha requested departments, branches and localities to continue reviewing the proposed work program to proactively carry out tasks with high results; focus on completing the contents and tasks to prepare for the organization of the 120th Anniversary of the Provincial Founding Day; focus on effectively implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025"; promote the role and responsibility of leaders in performing assigned tasks; strengthen coordination between departments and branches in implementing targets and tasks; prepare well the contents to be submitted to the upcoming Provincial People's Council sessions and thematic sessions; strengthen solutions to increase state budget revenue, ensure correct and sufficient collection; focus on disbursing public investment capital with high efficiency; regularly review and advise the province to balance the budget for activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
