This document was issued after receiving instructions from the Government Office and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on proactively responding to natural disasters during the 2025 flood season.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to focus on reviewing and inspecting key and vulnerable projects, irrigation and hydropower projects and unfinished projects in the area to have timely solutions for natural disaster prevention. Closely monitor weather forecasts to promptly inform people and local authorities about the risk of heavy rain, floods, flash floods and landslides.
Proactively check residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, areas at risk of floods, flash floods, landslides to proactively take prevention plans and evacuate people to safety.
Check and review key works, especially irrigation and hydroelectric dams, to update response plans and ensure safety of works and downstream areas when floods occur.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Radio and Television Station and Lam Dong Newspaper to increase propaganda and dissemination of information on weather developments and response work so that people know and proactively prevent.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested relevant units to prepare forces, materials and means to proactively overcome incidents, ensure smooth traffic and minimize human and property damage caused by natural disasters.
