Provincial People's Committee listens to reports on proposed investment projects

This afternoon, December 20, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien chaired a working session with My Thuy International Port Joint Venture Company (MTIP Company) and its member companies to listen to reports on proposed investment projects in the province.

Reporting on some contents related to the implementation of legal procedures for projects in the province, the investor representative said that in the past time, the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches, and localities have actively supported and created favorable conditions for MTIP Company to implement the investment project of My Thuy Port Area in particular and to survey and research other projects in general in the province.

At the meeting, representatives of investors proposed to implement 8 construction investment projects in many localities in the province, including: projects invested by MTIP Company (Investment in construction of logistics area behind My Thuy port; My Thuy coal mixing, classification and preservation complex; Office building and expert accommodation area; My Thuy duty-free zone project); projects invested by SAM Holdings Joint Stock Company (VICO 5-way intersection ecological urban - service area; SAM Quang Tri high-class residential, resort, sports and entertainment complex); Renewable energy projects invested by Viet Phuong Investment Group Joint Stock Company (VPG); Quang Tri Silica Industrial Complex Project invested by VP Silica Joint Stock Company.

The investment objectives of the projects are to develop services in the port logistics area, creating strong connectivity based on the advantages of each region in the logistics service industry; forming architectural space routes, developing eco -tourism potential; building residential complexes, resorts and high-class entertainment tourism services combined with golf course systems to meet the living, entertainment and recreation needs of the people; developing a supply chain for the energy industry with solar panel products for domestic consumption and export abroad...

Enterprises and investors have also made a number of recommendations and proposals related to implementing land procedures, adjusting planning, expanding project research areas, etc. At the same time, they hope that the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches, and localities will continue to coordinate and support investors in the research and survey process and pay attention to speeding up site clearance work, promptly handing over clean sites to projects with investment policies.

Speaking at the meeting, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized: Quang Tri Province welcomes the investment project ideas of MTIP Company and its member companies because most of these projects are in line with the planning and socio-economic development strategy of the province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agrees on the policy and gives opinions, assigns tasks to relevant departments, branches and localities for each specific project. In particular, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is required to advise the Provincial People's Committee to draft a document requesting competent authorities to study and consider including a number of projects in the 2025 Land Use Plan as a basis for implementing the next steps. The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board studies and proposes to expand the project implementation area of ​​a number of investors to ensure that it is consistent with the actual situation and in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Industry and Trade shall coordinate with relevant units and localities to guide investors in submitting bidding documents in accordance with procedures; at the same time, review, propose and guide investors in developing renewable energy projects in areas where other investors have surveyed but do not have the capacity to implement.
