TPO - According to new UEFA regulations, the EURO 2024 Golden Boot title will be shared by players with the same number of goals, instead of taking into account additional indicators like previous seasons.

The Golden Boot will be awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the tournament. In previous seasons, if multiple players had the same number of goals, UEFA would take into account secondary indicators, such as assists or minutes played.
Specifically, in the case of multiple players with the same number of goals, whoever has more assists will win the race for the Golden Boot. This happened at EURO 2020, where Cristiano Ronaldo (5 goals, 1 assist) surpassed Czech striker Patrik Schick (5 goals, 0 assists).
In the event that the top scorers also have the same number of assists, the winner will be the player with the least total minutes played in the tournament. This happened at EURO 2012, where Spain's Fernando Torres (189 minutes) beat Germany's Mario Gomez (282 minutes), after both players scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist.
However, this year, UEFA has announced the removal of all of the above criteria. This means that EURO 2024 could see up to 6 top scorers for the first time in history.
Up to this point, there are 6 players with 3 goals each: Dani Olmo (Spain), Harry Kane (England), Georges Mikautadze (Georgia), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), Ivan Schranz (Slovakia) and Jamal Musiala (Germany).
Of these, only Dani Olmo and Harry Kane have the chance to add to their tally when Spain face England in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, at 2am on July 15 (Vietnam time). The remaining four players have no chance because their teams have stopped at EURO 2024.
This year's Golden Boot race promises to be even more exciting as in the chasing group, two players who scored 2 goals, Fabian Ruiz (Spain) and Jude Bellingham (England), still have a chance to compete for the title. If they play well in the final, they can completely beat Olmo and Kane in this race.
