The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme “80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) has officially closed after 19 days, leaving a deep echo in the hearts of the People and international friends with an unprecedented record.

National exhibition of unprecedented scale in history

The 80 Years of National Achievements Exhibition is the largest-ever exhibition event, marking the journey of 8 decades of construction and development of the Vietnamese people. For the first time, a national exhibition has an exhibition area of ​​up to nearly 260,000 m², bringing together more than 230 exhibition booths of 28 ministries, branches, 34 localities and more than 100 typical enterprises. The stature of the event is further enhanced when placed in a space of more than 900,000 m2 of the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), which has exhibition infrastructure in the Top 10 of the world and the Kim Quy exhibition building - a symbol connecting history and modernity.

The exhibition of national achievements "80 years of journey of independence, freedom, happiness" is a national exhibition with an unprecedented scale in history.

Impressive highlights from the exhibition areas:

In addition to displaying the outstanding achievements of the Party, the State, central ministries, localities and the business community, along with the cultural identities of the regions..., the exhibition also made its mark when for the first time modern technology was applied synchronously in an exhibition: from interactive screens, virtual reality, augmented reality to electronic sand tables, holograms... helping visitors "experience" 80 years of achievements through many senses with unforgettable impressions.

At the closing session of the exhibition, 50 units were awarded the "Outstanding Exhibition Booth" certificate by the Government . This award honors units with outstanding contributions in designing, staging and organizing exhibitions, introducing the country's achievements over 80 years of construction and development.

15 awards for central departments, ministries, branches and agencies including: Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Office of the National Assembly, Office of the Government , Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, State Bank of Vietnam, Government Inspectorate, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Television.

15 awards for provinces and centrally run cities including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long.

The combination of huge scale, rich exhibition content and modern technology has created an "unprecedented" exhibition - a historical milestone that not only records the 80-year journey of building and developing the country, but also demonstrates the stature and aspirations of Vietnam in the new period.

The exhibition attracted a record number of visitors.

Marking an unprecedented large-scale exhibition event in Vietnam, the exhibition attracted more than 10 million domestic and international visitors during its 19 days (from August 28 to September 15, 2025). On average, nearly 530,000 visitors came to visit each day, with a peak of nearly 1.3 million visitors per day.

The exhibition was also honored to welcome delegations of Party and Government leaders; General Secretary and President of Laos; President of the Cambodian People's Party; Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces; and high-ranking military delegations from Russia, Laos and Cambodia.

This number not only breaks all previous records but also shows the strong attraction of a professionally organized event, gathering outstanding achievements and the quintessence of technology and culture, and is also a testament to the professional operational capacity of the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC).

The mark of a never-ending series of events

This is also recognized as the exhibition that brings together the most diverse number of events and activities with continuous frequency. On average, there are more than 100 events per day, with highlights including:

Professional organizational capacity

The success of the exhibition is a clear demonstration of the solidarity and coordination of forces in organization and operation, including VEC's capacity to operate and host large-scale domestic and international events.

  Prime Minister: The exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the culture imbued with national identity, the bravery, intelligence and creativity of the Vietnamese people.

To ensure the event ran smoothly, more than 31,300 personnel were mobilized, including: More than 2,000 enthusiastic volunteers to support visitors. Nearly 900 security personnel and functional forces to ensure absolute safety. Nearly 28,000 officers and operational staff. Nearly 400 construction units worked 24/7 to complete the exhibition space in more than 3 weeks, a record in terms of time and scale of preparation.

The logistics system is operating at full capacity, serving up to millions of passengers. VEC has arranged 8 parking lots, 20 free bus routes and 2 internal tram routes with more than 50 vehicles, ensuring convenient traffic and minimizing congestion.

Despite welcoming a huge number of visitors, the entire organization system still operates smoothly and civilly: from arranging shuttle buses, resting places, diverse food areas, cool spaces, to on-schedule performances, without crowding, disorder, security, and thoughtful medical work... This is a clear demonstration of the dedication and professionalism of the Vietnam Exhibition Center Management Board, organizing units, booths... when putting the visitor experience first.
