According to the country's Ministry of Health , the new cases include a driver who transported the first confirmed Ebola patient in the country, and a healthcare worker who was exposed while caring for that patient. Both are currently receiving treatment and are identified as close contacts under observation.



Uganda confirms three new cases of Ebola.
The third case is a woman of Democratic Republic of Congo nationality. She traveled to Uganda in early May for medical treatment in Uganda's capital, Kampala, before returning to Congo.
Uganda's Ministry of Health said all those who had contact with the confirmed cases have been identified and are being closely monitored. Authorities are stepping up surveillance and contact tracing efforts to control the outbreak.
