Application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in agricultural extension work

QTO - On October 15 and 16, the Quang Tri Agricultural Extension Center organized an intensive training course on the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in agricultural extension work for 30 trainees who are agricultural extension officers at all levels, commune agricultural extension staff, community agricultural extension workers and key farmers in the province.

At the training course, trainees were updated with basic knowledge about digital transformation, data technology and AI in agriculture , and at the same time approached digital models and platforms for management, production, forecasting, communication and farmer support. Trainees were also guided to practice on many AI tools, such as: Using ChatGPT to build communication content, technical advice, drafting agricultural extension plans; processing data on NotebookML application (Google Colab); exploiting pest warning software, plant identification such as Plantix and Agrio; creating agricultural extension documents using QR codes...

Through training courses, agricultural extension officers are enhanced with digital capabilities and exposed to new thinking on how to support farmers more effectively, faster and closely following practical production needs. This activity also contributes to the formation of a “digitalized” agricultural extension team, who know how to exploit artificial intelligence as a strategic support tool in agricultural management and production, towards smart, modern and sustainable agriculture.

It is known that on this occasion, the center will organize 3 classes, each class has 30 students: agricultural extension officers at all levels, commune agricultural extension workers, community agricultural extension workers and core farmers in the whole province.
