On the morning of September 8, at a working session with the Northern Power Corporation and Quang Ninh Power Company, Mr. Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group, requested to focus on prioritizing the restoration of power to 110kV lines, coal mines and telecommunications broadcasting stations.

According to a report by Quang Ninh Electricity Company, as of 7:00 p.m. on September 7, over 450,000 customers in the province lost power due to the impact of storm No. 3 (accounting for more than 1/3 of the total number of customers in the entire North who lost power).
The main reason was that the 500kV, 220kV, 110kV and medium voltage lines had to stop operating. Immediately after the storm passed, the Company inspected the lines to restore power to customers.
As of 10:00 a.m. on September 8, the Company had restored 9/50 110kV lines; energized 8 110kV transformer stations and 12/80 medium voltage lines, of which Mong Cai City had been re-energized. All remaining localities are expected to be partially re-energized today.

After listening to the reports from the units, Mr. Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group, said that among the 27 provinces and cities in the North, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Hai Duong are the most severely damaged power grids, especially Quang Ninh province. This is also a locality with very important customer loads, including coal mines, industrial parks, hospitals, etc.
Faced with this situation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group requested the Northern Power Corporation and Quang Ninh Power Company to devote all human resources to inspecting the 110kV lines and 110kV transformer stations, especially the 46 110kV lines that have not been inspected yet. The goal is to energize the 110kV transformer stations Giap Khau, Gieng Day, Cai Lan, Ha Tu... by early afternoon today. Immediately after energizing the 110kV transformer stations, Quang Ninh Power Company must prioritize supplying electricity to coal industry units, telecommunications broadcasting stations, hospitals... to ensure communication and overcome damage after the storm. If necessary, the Group will mobilize other power units (Ninh Binh Power, Bac Ninh Power, Bac Giang Power...) to support Quang Ninh province.
