Ethnic Committee: Promoting the implementation of Digital Transformation activities

On February 28, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Minorities Committee Nong Quoc Tuan chaired a meeting to listen to the Digital Transformation Center and related units report on the Digital Transformation work plan of the Ethnic Minorities Committee in 2023. Attending the meeting were representatives of a number of departments and units under the Ethnic Minorities Committee.

According to the report of the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities (CEMA), the 2023 DTC plan of the CEMA is implemented with the following key goals: 80% of the database creating the foundation for e-Government development is completed, connected and shared nationwide; Complete investment in the national public service portal and the reporting information system of the CEMA; Plan and invest in a synchronous server system to serve data storage and backup, ensuring stable technical standards for the period 2021 - 2025...

Develop a Ministry-level data integration and sharing system (LGSP) connecting with information systems and databases within the ministry and connecting with the national data integration and sharing platform (NDXP) according to the Architecture Framework to exchange and share data with external agencies. Records of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers are updated and stored on the electronic storage system; 100% of applications with exploitation needs are deployed with digital signatures.

In particular, in 2023, the software and application for reporting, evaluating and monitoring the implementation of the National Target Program 1719 will be completed and applied nationwide. At the same time, an information system for reporting, evaluating and monitoring will be invested to serve the Operation Center of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period.

Specifically, in 2023, the Committee for Ethnic Minorities will organize a Workshop on Digital Transformation to raise awareness of Digital Transformation; launch a number of Digital Transformation projects of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023. Along with that, it will organize the implementation of the e-Government Architecture 2.0 as a basis for orienting the application of information technology at the Committee for Ethnic Minorities to improve the ability to integrate, connect, share, reuse information, information infrastructure, and limit duplicate investment. Develop and promulgate regulations and rules to unify information technology application activities and ensure information security...

At the meeting, delegates expressed their agreement with the contents of the 2023 digital transformation plan of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities; some delegates spoke and clarified some contents on implementation funding, implementation organization and coordination between the Digital Transformation Center and departments and units under the Committee for Ethnic Minorities.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Nong Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the preparation of the 2023 digital transformation plan as well as the opinions and suggestions of the delegates attending the meeting. Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman Nong Quoc Tuan requested the Digital Transformation Center to fully absorb the opinions and suggestions of the delegates to supplement and complete the plan.
