Under the agreement, V-GREEN and its partners - including Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS - have committed to investing a total of $300 million to develop charging infrastructure in Indonesia, focusing on the provinces of Jabodatebek, Bandung, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan, Batam, Bali, and Kalimantan. The projects will start in May 2025, with the first charging stations expected to be operational by June.

In 2025, Chargecore plans to invest at least $30 million. Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS will all distribute charging stations, each committing to invest $5.3 million per year. In terms of investment structure, V-GREEN will directly invest 20% of the charging stations, while the remaining 80% will be mobilized through the form of business cooperation contracts (BCC).

In Indonesia, since entering the market, V-GREEN has implemented business under the BCC model with leading local reputable partners. V-GREEN aims to build a particularly attractive investment mechanism for investors, including revenue sharing of 750 rupiah/kWh and a committed profit of up to 25%/year in the first 3 years of the contract. These cooperations not only help V-GREEN quickly expand the electric vehicle charging station network in Indonesia, but also affirm the appeal and potential of the green transportation sector in the archipelago.

Mr. Mai Truong Giang, CEO of V-GREEN Indonesia, emphasized: “The cooperation with reputable partners in Indonesia is an important step in V-GREEN's strategy to develop a global electric vehicle charging station network, especially to meet the growing demand in the Southeast Asian market. We believe that, with the support of strategic partners, V-GREEN and VinFast will successfully build a modern green transportation ecosystem, contributing to the sustainable development goals of the region and the world.”

Mr. John Yan, Co-founder and CEO of Chargecore, shared: “We are excited to partner with V-GREEN - a company with determination, commitment and a well-planned strategy in developing EV charging infrastructure in the Indonesian market. This partnership not only brings business efficiency to Chargecore, but also contributes to promoting green transportation trends in Indonesia, helping to remove barriers to switching to EVs for local people and moving towards a more sustainable future.”

Mr. Nguyen The Duy, General Director of Chargepoint, said: "We deeply believe in the development potential of electric vehicles in Indonesia, a potential market that is strongly transforming towards green transportation. As the official distributor of V-GREEN in Vietnam, Chargepoint is proud to continue to accompany the expansion of the VinFast electric vehicle ecosystem in Southeast Asia, of which Indonesia is our first destination. This is a clear demonstration of the long-term commitment, as well as the regional vision of Vietnamese enterprises in the field of green transportation."

V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company was established by VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong. In Vietnam, V-GREEN has affirmed its pioneering position and capacity by putting into operation about 150,000 charging ports across the country and continuously cooperating with many partners to expand the network.

Although it has just entered Indonesia, V-GREEN has attracted the attention and trust of many international and local partners. The company currently aims to develop a total of 50,000 charging stations and 63,000 charging ports nationwide by 2025. In May, VinFast car owners in Indonesia were able to charge their cars for free at more than 1,000 charging stations operated by V-GREEN , marking the first step in the roadmap to realize the goal of developing charging infrastructure in this market.

VinFast has launched four electric car models, including VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34, just over a year after entering Indonesia. V-GREEN’s rapid expansion of its charging station network will help meet the growing market demand for VinFast electric vehicles, bringing convenience to local consumers and contributing to global sustainable development goals./.
