According to the plan, V-League 2025/2026 will officially start on August 15, 2025. In the first round, defending champion Nam Dinh will face Hai Phong. HAGL will host Ho Chi Minh City Club at home. Ha Tinh will meet Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa will face Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club will face Hanoi FC, Quang Nam will face SLNA and CAHN will face The Cong Viettel.
Notably, according to the schedule announced by the Organizing Committee, round 4 of V-League 2025/2026 promises to be a very special round, when fans will witness up to 4 exciting derby matches taking place at the same time.
Accordingly, round 4 of V-League 2025/2026 will have 4 derby matches including: Hanoi FC vs The Cong Viettel (Capital derby), Ninh Binh Club vs Nam Dinh Club (Ninh Binh derby), Quang Nam Club vs Da Nang Club (Da Nang derby) and Ho Chi Minh City Club vs Ho Chi Minh City Police Club (Ho Chi Minh City derby).
After merging provinces and cities, V-League not only has more attractive derby matches but also creates opportunities for teams to develop strongly, promote competition and improve the quality of the tournament.
