In the past 2 seasons of the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAI) team has participated. Although they have not achieved any results, this team has always left a good impression with their dedicated and fair-play style of play. At the THACO Cup 2025, the VAI team will compete with a young force, with many players only 18 years old this year (born in 2006).

Head coach of the HVHKVN team - Vo Minh Vuong said: "The core of the HVHKVN team participating in this tournament is mostly first-year students. And like previous years, the team's spirit when participating in the THACO Cup 2025 is to exchange and learn from other teams. Regarding the issue of achievements, the HVHKVN team does not put much emphasis on it."

In the previous two tournaments, the HVHKVN team attracted attention with its "foreign" players who were international students from Laos and Cambodia. Among them, Vilay Sayyalath (Laos) was the main striker, who made history in the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament as the player who scored the first goal. But this year, the HVHKVN team has no foreign players. Coach Minh Vuong said: "Vilay Sayyalath has graduated, while Cambodian center back Hok Chatchhun is not in good form so he was not called up."

According to Mr. Vuong, the source of players for the HVHKVN team was selected through the academy's internal tournaments. The team has been practicing and participating in a number of preliminary tournaments since the beginning of October. "Recently, we have also increased the frequency and volume of training to have the best preparation. The force of more than 20 official players of the HVHKVN team is ready to compete in the 2025 season," Mr. Vuong shared.

The HVHKVN team may be "immature", but the boys, who are only 18 and 20 years old, are full of youthful energy and have a strong desire. This is considered the strength of the HVHKVN team, when entering the journey to conquer the TNSV THACO Cup 2025. Coach Minh Vuong expressed: "This team's physique is better than previous years. However, the players are still inexperienced and have not been together for long. However, the HVHKVN team has a high spirit of determination and the whole team is very united. This factor can compensate for the professional aspect".

The core of the HVHKVN team participating in the THSV THACO Cup 2025 is the first-year players.

In the Ho Chi Minh City regional qualifying round, the HVHKVN team was in Group G with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences (VNU-HCM) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics . Regarding the results of the draw, Mr. Vuong commented: "In this group, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education team is the most outstanding. With the remaining two teams, we can play. There is still hope that the HVHKVN team can do something and make it to the next round."

The solidarity, youth and desire of the young men in their early 20s are considered the strengths of the HVHKVN team.
