Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, General Director of Vantive Vietnam Healthcare Co., Ltd., spoke at the launching ceremony of Vantive Vietnam Healthcare Co., Ltd.
Joining hands to tackle the "silent burden" of kidney disease in Vietnam
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, General Director of Vantive Vietnam Healthcare Co., Ltd., said: "We are implementing many approaches to improve the quality of treatment, including providing advanced medical solutions, investing in digital technology to support patient management, and promoting cooperation and training to improve the capacity of the Vietnamese medical team."
According to statistics, Vietnam currently has about 10 million people (equivalent to 10% of the population) living with chronic kidney disease. Many cases have progressed to the final stage, but only about 5% of patients can access renal replacement therapy. In addition, acute kidney injury is also becoming a worrying problem in intensive care units (ICU), when more than 40% of critically ill patients need continuous dialysis, putting great pressure on the health system.
The above figures reflect the urgent challenge of the health sector in expanding access to treatment, improving management capacity and supporting patients with chronic kidney disease. In this context, the official presence of Vantive Vietnam is expected to create new momentum for the health care system, contributing to reducing the burden of kidney disease and improving the quality of life for people.
Professor, Dr. Nguyen Gia Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Emergency Resuscitation and Poison Control - assessed that the launch of Vantive Vietnam Healthcare Co., Ltd. is an important milestone for the medical community, especially in the field of emergency resuscitation. He emphasized that access to advanced treatment equipment and solutions is a vital factor in treating critically ill patients. After more than 20 years of development, there are now more than 160 hospitals nationwide that have successfully deployed continuous blood filtration technology, bringing about a clear change in the prognosis of critically ill patients, helping to save thousands of lives each year.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Khanh - President of the Vietnam Urology and Nephrology Association - said that chronic kidney disease is a major medical challenge as the number of patients is increasing rapidly but access to treatment is limited. There are currently 3 kidney replacement therapies including kidney transplantation, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Of which, peritoneal dialysis is a modern trend, allowing patients to self-treat at home, take the initiative in their time and maintain a normal life. He affirmed that Vantive's participation will contribute to expanding treatment opportunities and improving the quality of life for patients.

Vietnamese and Thai medical experts share experiences at a forum organized by Vantive on October 10.
Vantive's 3 core commitments to the Vietnamese healthcare system
With a sustainable development orientation, Vantive commits to accompany the Vietnamese healthcare industry through 3 strategic pillars:
First, improving patient outcomes and prolonging life by leveraging digital technology and innovation. Models that support remote monitoring, early risk detection, and personalized care empower patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Second, Vantive partners with government agencies and healthcare facilities to build a sustainable treatment model, expanding access to advanced therapies for patients across the country, especially in areas with limited resources.
Third, the company focuses on continuous training for medical staff, updating treatment guidelines and clinical practices according to international standards, contributing to reducing work pressure and improving professional capacity in kidney care.
"By always putting patients at the center, applying digital tools and innovation, we can overcome the increasingly complex challenges of kidney disease together. Our goal is to reduce pressure on the health system, while giving patients more meaningful years of life," emphasized Ms. Tran Thuy Duong.
Collaboration to advance kidney disease treatment and expand access to care
Before the Launch Ceremony, on October 10, 2025, Vantive Vietnam coordinated with the Vietnam Medical Association and the Vietnam Urology - Nephrology Association to organize a seminar on "Home Peritoneal Dialysis: Current Situation and Solutions" in Hanoi. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health , Vietnam Social Security and leading nephrology experts from Vietnam and Thailand.
The seminar focused on discussing the need for treatment of end-stage chronic kidney disease in Vietnam, as well as the difficulties in implementing home peritoneal dialysis, especially the issue of prescription and insurance coverage for outpatient medical equipment.
Notably, experts from Thailand shared their experience in successfully implementing the "PD First - Treatment of end-stage renal failure with peritoneal dialysis" policy. This model helps expand access to treatment, reduce medical costs while still ensuring effectiveness, and is a practical example that Vietnam can refer to.
Through this cooperation, Vantive hopes to accompany management agencies and medical experts in finding feasible solutions to expand treatment opportunities for chronic kidney patients, contributing towards a more comprehensive, sustainable and humane healthcare network for the Vietnamese people.
In the coming time, Vantive Vietnam will continue to promote innovation in kidney care, focusing on developing digital solutions to help monitor, analyze and personalize treatment pathways for each patient. In addition, the company also invests in research and development (R&D) programs, aiming at new technologies to help improve treatment efficiency and reduce the cost burden for patients.
With a foundation of international experience and a strong commitment in Vietnam, Vantive affirms its determination to accompany the healthcare system and medical team to build a future of advanced, sustainable and human-centered healthcare.
