The second half continued to heat up with controversial decisions, with Sanchez Martinez cancelling another goal by Arda Guler for handball. Known for his calm demeanor, Xabi Alonso couldn't contain himself this time, arguing constantly and, according to journalist Jose Padilla, he remained tense when speaking directly with the referee after the match.

At the press conference, the Spanish coach was cautious, only emphasizing the efforts of his players: "We have shown the courage and quality to come back."

It is rare to see a team having three goals disallowed in a single match. But if you look at the data, this is not the first time this has happened.
