About the commentary of a "crazy monk" who has lost all reason

Việt NamViệt Nam21/02/2024

The person who is being nicknamed “crazy teacher” by the public is none other than a “person” with the title of professor (GS), doctorate (TS), once awarded the noble title of People's Teacher named Nguyen Dinh Cong, an engineer with many concrete research projects and was once a “master” admired by many students of Hanoi University of Construction.

In addition to the above nickname, “Mr. Cong” is also mentioned by the press and media with many “scary” phrases such as “the former professor and the current party traitor”, “the butcher in a monk’s robe”, “the ignorant professor”, “the ungrateful, treacherous person”…

The act of “exposing” Professor Cong with those “sharp” words began when he announced his “resignation from the Party” on social media on the 86th anniversary of the Party’s founding (February 3, 2016).

Previously, he signed a document sent to the Party Central Committee and delegates to the 12th Party Congress (January 20-28, 2016) proposing to change the Party's name (not to call it the Communist Party of Vietnam ) and also change the National name (not to call it the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

That was not all, Professor Cong also wrote many articles and posted them on social networks, attacking and slandering our Party with extremely reactionary words, helping hostile forces to sabotage our Party and State.

Recently, after Professor, Doctor, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had an article celebrating the 94th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024) published and widely broadcast in our country's press and media, and at the same time causing a stir in international public opinion on January 31, 2024, within just two weeks later, on February 14, 2024, Professor Cong immediately had an article "Commenting on some ideas in the article of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong" posted on an electronic newspaper on the internet (website baotiengdan.com).

Saying it was “commenting on a few ideas”, in fact, Professor Cong wrote an article of nearly 7,000 words to refute and deny the profound article, which harmonizes the Party's will and the people's heart, by the leader of our Party, the great furnace-maker Nguyen Phu Trong, titled “Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, determined to build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam”.

As both the highest leader of the Party and a leading political theorist, in his article, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong objectively and comprehensively assessed the main results, achievements, and lessons that our Party, our country, and our people have achieved through historical stages, thereby arousing pride in the Party, the glory of great Uncle Ho, the heroic nation, and strengthening faith in the path to socialism.

That is the belief in the Party, under the leadership of the Party, in the bright future of the country and the people, the belief in the foundation that we have never had like today. The article of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also further raised the responsibility of cadres and party members in the entire political system, continuing to promote the patriotism and revolutionary spirit of the entire nation, determined to build our country to be increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic.

We have told the world a great story of poverty alleviation. We have lifted tens of millions of our compatriots out of poverty, transformed our country from a low-income country to a middle-income country and are on the journey to becoming a developed country. The General Secretary's article has explained and analyzed in depth, highlighting these very important achievements.

In the article, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong especially emphasized the close relationship between the Party and the people, the viewpoint of taking the people as the root, all policies and strategies must take the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for, rely on the people to build the Party, consolidate and strengthen the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the socialist regime.

The Party has a close relationship with the people. That is the lifeblood of the Party, because the Party's leadership must rely on the people's trust and support. The Party's strength is the strength of trust. The strength of the people's support is the belief in the Party's wisdom and decisiveness in setting out guidelines and policies for leadership. The Party is the support and trust of the people, so that the people can follow the Party.

That is why people still call our Party with pride and trust. The path of pride is the path of trust, we are proud to have a glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, and a heroic nation. That pride has inspired and given trust to our entire Party and people.

Yet, in the so-called "commentary" of Professor Cong, he brazenly denied everything, from the achievements of victory over foreign invaders, victory over ignorance, victory over poverty, to the outstanding achievements of our entire country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

As someone who was born and raised in the anti-French resistance zone (Ba Don, Quang Trach, Quang Binh), studied at high school level in revolutionary schools, university level under the socialist school roof, then studied abroad as a graduate student in a socialist country, then returned to the country to teach, become a department head, a dean of the faculty, an education expert at a foreign university, not to mention having written and published many books on the Construction industry...

Professor Cong has enjoyed so much favor from the Party, the country, and our people, but after nearly two decades of retirement, at the age of 80, he "turned the tables and turned the spear" and stabbed the Party, the country, the people, and the benefactors who had protected and raised him since childhood, and continued to support him with social security policies until today.

In his “commentary on some ideas”, right in the first part, Professor Cong deliberately “reversed” the issue of the Party’s founding process on February 3, 1930. The General Secretary wrote: “The birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam is the result of the combination of Marxism-Leninism with the workers’ movement and the patriotic movement; proving that the Vietnamese working class has matured and is capable of shouldering the historical mission of leading the revolution.

The Party's first political platform adopted at the Party's founding conference determined the basic path of the Vietnamese revolution, meeting the urgent needs of the nation and the earnest aspirations of the people." Professor Cong said that the above paragraph "does not reflect reality but is just dogma."

How could it be that as a “People’s Teacher” whose age is only 7 years younger than “our Party’s age” (Cong was born in 1937), Professor Cong did not know that, according to statistics from the French colonial regime, in 1929, the Vietnamese working class had 220,000 workers; and also in this year, the Red Trade Union - the first revolutionary organization of the working class in our country was established? Yet Professor Cong was still “bewildered” and raised the question: “It is difficult to accept that in 1930, the working class of Vietnam had matured”.

Professor Cong also “commented”: “The dogma is that the Communist Party must be the vanguard of the working class.” It is ridiculous, if not the Communist Party, then who is the vanguard of the working class? Could it be the “unions” established by the colonial and capitalist owners? From raising the issue of the Party’s origin and claiming that saying that the working class leads the revolution is “heavy dogma,” Professor Cong intentionally denies the revolutionary leadership role of the working class, thereby denying the role of the vanguard of the working class, the Communist Party.

From the same way of posing the question, Professor Cong also wanted to deny the leadership of our Party in the August Revolution. He wrote: “In fact, the leader of the August Revolution was the Viet Minh, an organization established by the Party consisting of patriots, mainly young intellectuals.

Setting up a leading class is a deduction of Marxism-Leninism, in reality there is no such leadership". In fact, it is Professor Cong's messy and contradictory argument that is unrealistic and illogical, while it is precisely that argument of Professor Cong that affirms the leadership role of our Party in the August Revolution.

Regarding the brilliant victories of the resistance war against colonialism and imperialism to regain national independence, of course Professor Cong could not deny it, so he had to speak in a "vague, superficial" way like: "From then on, we had to fight against the French for 9 years, ending with the victory of Dien Bien Phu.

It took another 20 years of war (against the US - NV) to unify the country. Whether the path the Communist Party chose for the nation is right or wrong is currently undisputed, we must wait for history to judge.

The story that Professor Cong said to "wait" in the style of "just wait", actually everyone in the world already knows, history not only of Vietnam but also of the whole world has already "judged", only "crazy monk Cong" is nearly ninety years old and has lost all reason so he still doesn't know.
