The rain on the afternoon of July 12 made the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 even more exciting and unpredictable.
In the cool weather, from the evening, thousands of people and tourists flocked to both sides of the Han River to wait for the final night performance between the DIFF 2024 runner-up team China and the Z121 Vina Pyrotech fireworks team, the host Vietnam entered the final round for the first time.
Right from the first performances, it seemed like the DIFF 2024 scenario would repeat itself when China's performance (the team performed very well in the qualifying round but lost to Finland in the final) was filled with smoke.
Jiangxi Yangfeng asserts its power as a world fireworks powerhouse with its continuous displays.
However, the team's dense low- and high-altitude artillery shells encountered a significant limitation in displaying effects because there was too much smoke.

However, the audience in the stage area can still clearly feel the series of effects moving to the rhythm of the music of the swirling fireworks and linear falling fireworks.
In particular, the Chinese team created a surprise when they incorporated the Vietnamese song "Bac Bling" into the vibrant fireworks display, synchronized with the series of mid- and low-level fireworks running across the water, creating an effect like a dance of light connecting the two cultures.

Meanwhile, in their first time entering the final round, team Z121's performance brought the audience into a space filled with sound and color.
Blending with the effects of horizontal fireworks and spiral fireworks are vibrant musical beats.
The performance received high praise for its musical rhythms that varied from heroic to gentle, combined with colorful fireworks.
According to the jury, this year's DIFF also witnessed impressive and creative performances from all competing teams, with quality considered superior to previous years.
The Organizing Committee announced that Jiangxi Yangfeng team won the DIFF 2025 Champion title, with a prize worth 20,000 USD. Vietnam's Z121 fireworks team won the runner-up title with a prize worth 10,000 USD.

Will invest in DIFF on a larger scale
With the victory belonging to the Jiangxi Yangfeng team from China, DIFF 2025 ended after two months of organization with a big boost for Da Nang tourism.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee - said that in the next 5 years, DIFF will be invested in on a larger scale to become a new growth engine for the night-time economy, tourism and brand of the city, in line with the vision of developing Da Nang in the direction of green - smart - modern, positioning the city's cultural brand on the regional and international map.
In addition to the Champion and Runner-up prizes, the DIFF 2025 organizing committee also honored 3 competing teams with 3 important award categories, each worth 5,000 USD.
Accordingly, the "Creativity" award went to the Macedos Pirotecnia team - Portugal; the Da Nang fireworks team, Vietnam received the "Most Favorite Audience" award and the Martarello Group SLR fireworks team representing Italy received the "Promising" award.
