Da Nang alone recorded a large number of cases before COVID-19.
Russian and CIS tourists often choose resort tourism. They travel to avoid winter and like to swim in the sea, so Da Nang is the chosen destination," said Ms. Nguyen Huong Thuy, media representative of Anex Vietnam.

Thanks to its visa-free policy and modern tourism infrastructure, and its long coastline, Vietnam is ranked 3rd in the top 5 destinations most chosen by Russian tourists .
It is expected that in 2025, Vietnam will welcome more than 425,000 Russian visitors , ranking among the top 10 important source markets .
Particularly in Da Nang, because it is located in the center of the Central region, has diverse destinations and tourism services, and flight routes are widely connected throughout the region, so units are interested in organizing charter flights.
In the program on the morning of November 12, representatives of accommodation areas, restaurants and the tourism industry in Da Nang said that with the characteristics of Russian and CIS guests, the units will actively prepare services to attract guests from these countries to diversify the market.
According to data from the General Statistics Office, in the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed over 15.4 million international visitors - an increase of 21.5% over the same period in 2024.
In particular, the Russian market continued to record a growth rate of up to 173%. The reason is attributed to the positive impact of visa exemption policy, promotional efforts, and the increasing attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism.
