VF 5 is the best-selling electric car of VinFast in July 2024

VinFast VF 5 sold a total of 2,600 vehicles to the market in July 2024, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the total sales of this electric car company. According to a source from VinFast , the company delivered more than 4,000 electric cars in July 2024, helping to bring the total number of cars sold since the beginning of the year to about 26,000 units globally. The number of cars was mainly recorded in Vietnam , with the VF 8 and VF 9 models being officially sold in the US while some Southeast Asian markets are now recording early orders.

In the product portfolio, VinFast VF 5 was announced as the best-selling electric vehicle model with about 2,600 vehicles delivered to customers in July, equivalent to about 65% of the market share. In total, since the beginning of the year, VF 5 has also led VinFast in terms of vehicle sales, reaching about 15,000 units. At the same time, these numbers also helped the car lead the Vietnamese market in the corresponding period, but the company did not announce detailed sales figures of the car.

With the large sales of VF 5, the remaining VinFast models only achieved a modest number of sales to the market, with about 1,400 units in July 2024, equivalent to 35%, including the remaining 5 models: VF 3, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9. However, the number of VF 3 cars will increase in the following months after VinFast delivers more pre-deposited orders (more than 30,000 orders).

VinFast VF 5 has high expectations as an urban SUV with an affordable price (VND 468 - 548 million) but still possesses many modern equipment, and is also a car model aimed at both personal and business customers. Many taxi companies are also gradually shifting their rental/purchase vehicles to car models like VinFast VF 5 to save costs and increase profit efficiency. Last July, VinFast also announced a big promotion policy in the face of the wave of Chinese electric cars that are increasingly appearing strongly in Vietnam. Most notably, the company offers 1 year of free charging at public stations for car models, and the VF 5 also has a new version with more modern and youthful color schemes.
