
On May 8, 2025, the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee requested the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), the participating clubs, the Referee Board and the supervisory and referee forces. Accordingly, the VFF directed to strengthen the organization of the final matches of the 2024-2025 national professional football season.
At this stage, V.League will witness many notable matches in both the relegation group and the championship race. In round 22 alone, Da Nang Club (bottom of the table) meets Quy Nhon Binh Dinh (second from last) in the relegation group, Nam Dinh meets Dong A Thanh Hoa in the championship group.
In the context that the season is entering a decisive stage with high competition, the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee requests relevant units to enhance their sense of responsibility, ensure organization and expertise to contribute to creating a successful, fair and transparent season.
Accordingly, VPF Company needs to continue to strengthen supervision and closely evaluate the situation of each match, promptly instruct in writing to the tournament participants on organization work, ensuring security, safety and medical conditions in accordance with the regulations of the Tournament Charter and Professional Football Regulations.
VFF emphasized: "Members of the Referee Board need to work with the highest responsibility in refereeing at matches; appoint referees with the right capacity and suitable to the nature of the match according to the process approved by the VFF Executive Board.
After each round of matches, it is necessary to seriously learn from the refereeing team's management experience, not to repeat the mistakes that have occurred; evaluate the level of completion of the tasks of the referees and assistant referees to appoint referees suitable to the professional nature of the final rounds. In case of necessity, the Referee Board will coordinate with the Organizing Committee to study and propose inviting international referees in the region to manage important matches, ensuring objectivity and fairness in the management of the matches.
According to the highest management unit of Vietnamese football, VPF Company needs to continue to strengthen supervision, closely evaluate the situation of each match, promptly instruct in writing to the tournament participants on organization work, ensure security, safety and medical conditions in accordance with the regulations of the tournament charter and professional football regulations.
At the same time, VFF reminded teams, coaches, players and officials to behave properly with referees.
In round 22, the matches Da Nang - Quy Nhon Binh Dinh, Nam Dinh - Thanh Hoa were all officiated by foreign referees from Thailand and Malaysia.
