On behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), President Tran Quoc Tuan accepted this award at the AFC Annual Awards 2023, held in Seoul (South Korea). This is a well-deserved achievement in the VFF's efforts to develop youth football in the community.
In the 2023-2024 season, in addition to improving the quality of professional football leagues, the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) also strives to stabilize and develop football leagues within the national competition system, from the Women's National Championship, Women's National Cup, Second Division, Third Division to youth leagues U.21, U.19 (men and women), U.16 women, U.15, U.13, U.11, U.9, men's and women's futsal, and beach soccer.

For community football development projects, especially the FIFA School Football Project, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Training to implement the project in 1,000 schools across 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The FFAV community football project (a collaboration between the VFF and the Norwegian Football Federation) continues to expand its model to more than 15 provinces and cities across the country. In addition, the VFF has completed the development of official teaching materials for children from U.6 to U.12 and supports the organization of grassroots football tournaments for children and students, increasing investment in the development of grassroots football.
At the AFC Annual Awards 2023, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was also honored with special AFC awards for grassroots children's football and special AFC awards for youth football. Specifically, the FFAV project won the award for Best Grassroots Football Project in Asia. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, a member of the VFF Grassroots Football Committee and Director of the FFAV project, also won the award for Best Grassroots Football Leader in Asia. For the special AFC award for youth football, the PVF Youth Football Training Center won the award for Youth Academy of the Year.

Furthermore, the VFF actively participates in social responsibility activities and is committed to being an active member of the AFC Amateur Football Charter, organizing activities in response to AFC Women's Football Day (March 8, 2023) and Amateur Football Day (May 15).
Furthermore, the VFF is also one of five regional federations in Asia selected by UEFA to participate in the UEFA/AFC Project to support the development of women's football, which includes important aspects such as women's football development strategies, youth football development, media and image development for women's football, clubs and national leagues, national teams, and human resources for women's football, with the participation of relevant professional departments within the VFF and partners.
For its efforts in creating a strong transformation for Vietnamese football starting from the grassroots level, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was honored to receive the AFC President's Award for Recognition in Grassroots Football.
