U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained popular TikToker Khaby Lame on Friday night, June 6, in Las Vegas, Nevada, on charges of violating immigration and immigration regulations.

The information was initially made public by Bo Loudon, a political activist who supports former President Donald Trump.

On his personal social media page X, Bo Loudon wrote: “President Trump’s ICE has just officially arrested TikToker Khaby Lame, who, as far as I know, entered the US illegally.”

After the information spread widely and was published by many major newspapers, Khaby Lame suddenly posted content on his personal Instagram and TikTok, a move that is believed to deny his arrest. This has caused a lot of controversy in the online community about the authenticity of the incident.

However, recently, an ICE representative officially confirmed the arrest. Accordingly, Khaby Lame was only detained for a short time and then allowed to "voluntarily leave". Currently, this TikToker has left the United States.

“US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, an Italian national, on June 6 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations,” an ICE spokesperson said. “Lame entered the United States on April 30 and overstayed his visa. Lame was granted voluntary departure on June 6 and has now departed the United States.”

The incident took place in the context of former President Donald Trump, since returning to the US presidency in January, implementing measures to tighten immigration control and conducting a campaign to deport illegal immigrants or those who violated immigration laws.
