Vietnam team tied Philippines 1-1.
The lucky draw with the Philippines on the evening of December 18 prevented the Vietnamese team from achieving their goal of reaching the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2024 early. The possibility that coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will not make it past the group stage is still possible.
