Vi Xuyen reviews facilities to prepare for commune-level merger

BHG - To prepare facilities and equipment to ensure that the newly established commune operates smoothly, serving the people and state management at the grassroots level, Vi Xuyen district organized inspection teams to review and evaluate the current status of facilities in the communes where administrative headquarters are expected to be located after the merger, including: Xin Chai, Thanh Thuy, Minh Tan, Thuan Hoa, Tung Ba, Cao Bo, Thuong Son, Ngoc Linh, Bach Ngoc, Phu Linh and Viet Lam.

The Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Vi Xuyen district reviewed the facilities in Ngoc Linh commune.

Through inspection, most of the current commune headquarters do not meet the working and accommodation conditions for cadres and civil servants after the merger. Many of the long-built offices are now old, degraded, and lack functional rooms; the conference hall is peeling and leaking; the auxiliary works are damaged or do not meet the standards of use, the internet connection is weak, and the clean water and lighting systems are not fully guaranteed.

Based on the scale, functions and tasks of the communes when merging, the functional sectors recommend that the District People's Committee promptly allocate funds to repair, renovate and upgrade necessary items such as: Office buildings, electrical systems, roofs, toilets, concrete yards, information technology infrastructure and domestic water; renovate and expand the "one-stop" room to become a Public Administration Center; rearrange the functions of existing works for temporary use; some school headquarters and medical stations after merging schools and stations are proposed to change their functions to add working space and accommodation for commune officials and civil servants; propose to re-evaluate the need for new construction investment after the administrative apparatus is put into stable operation.
