[Video] New step in universalizing preschool education

On June 26, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on universalizing preschool education for children aged 3 to 5. This is an important milestone, affirming the determination of the Party and State in developing comprehensive early education, with children at the center.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , there are currently more than 5.1 million preschool children nationwide, of which more than 4.5 million preschool children are being cared for at 15,256 schools and more than 17,000 independent preschool education facilities. The preschool mobilization rate is 93.6%. However, there are still nearly 300,000 preschool children, mainly in remote areas, who have not been to school.
