"All the startups that have come to us have impressive ideas. Those ideas are very creative, solving many problems in Vietnam and the global market. What I really like about working with startups is their dedication to their ideals and dreams, making everything come true. That really shows the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people and I love that about you," Ms. An commented.

When talking about semiconductors - one of the most important fields not only in Vietnam but also in the world , Ms. An said that in order for Vietnam to increase its competitiveness, we need to invest in research and talent development. According to her, this is also a way to attract foreign investment to Vietnam to build a healthy ecosystem.

Talking about global technology trends, Dr. Tran My An mentioned 5G wireless communications and artificial intelligence (AI), in which a special thing about 5G is its impact on digital transformation, while AI will be transformed in every industry.

After Vietnam and the US issued a joint statement to upgrade their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Ms. An said that this brought many new opportunities, so to take advantage of the opportunities, Vietnam needs to focus on investing and building talent. "Vietnamese students are famous for their outstanding ability in mathematics and dedication, which creates a solid foundation for Vietnam's success in the international arena," Ms. An advised.

Dr. Tran My An and QVIC partners and startups participate in Roadshow QVIC 2024

Initiated in 2019, QVIC's main goal is to support technology enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, aiming to create innovative products that contribute to Vietnam's economic development. After 3 seasons, QVIC has become a prestigious innovation program in Vietnam, receiving strong attention from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information and Communications and from investment funds to help fund startups, especially deep tech startups (core technology).

QVIC 2024 is looking for innovative software ideas related to AI, not hardware, but ideas on how to incorporate AI into Qualcomm platforms. This is part of an ongoing effort to make QVIC more differentiated and attractive. "We look forward to continuing to develop and improve the program, facilitating the development of an advanced technology ecosystem in Vietnam," said Ms. An.
