On the evening of January 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife chaired a reception for the diplomatic delegation organized by the Government on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Speaking at the party, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that 2024 is a challenging year, but amid the "headwinds", peace, cooperation and development are still the main currents. "For Vietnam, 2024 is a year of the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the desire to rise up," the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, to achieve these achievements, in addition to the spirit of solidarity, efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges of Vietnam, it is indispensable to have the valuable companionship and assistance of international friends, partners and sincere friends of Vietnam. Entering the new year 2025, the Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is full of aspirations and determination to enter a new era - the era of rising up, developing richly, civilizedly and prosperously of the Vietnamese people.

To successfully achieve the strategic goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030; and becoming a developed country with high income by 2045, from 2025, Vietnam has set a growth target of about 8% and double digits if conditions are favorable, creating momentum, creating force, creating position, creating rhythm to achieve double-digit growth in the following years. The Prime Minister said that to realize that aspiration, Vietnam will firmly pursue an independent, self-reliant, diversified, multilateral foreign policy, be a good friend, a reliable partner and an active, responsible member of the international community for the goal of peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world. "On that journey, we hope to continue to receive the support, assistance and close cooperation of international friends," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.

Standing side by side with the international community, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam will further contribute to peace, cooperation, development and solving common global issues, contributing to building a fair and equal international order based on international law, serving the common interests of humanity. In addition, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam will create the most favorable conditions for Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations to not only fulfill their responsibilities but also love the country and people of Vietnam and consider Vietnam as their second home.
