On the afternoon of October 3, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) announced that it would spend about 7 billion VND to support students facing difficulties caused by storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi) in 2025.

Accordingly, the school simultaneously implemented three support programs for students in areas directly affected by natural disasters through the following forms: tuition reduction, scholarship granting and tuition payment extension.

Specifically, the school reduced 10% of the tuition fee for the last semester of 2025 for nearly 3,000 students in 19 provinces and cities affected by storms and floods, and this tuition fee will be deducted from the tuition fee for the first semester of 2026. For students of the 48th course who have graduated, the support will be transferred directly to the student's account.

Students in 19 provinces and cities affected by storms and floods will have their tuition fees reduced, including: Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Hue, Son La, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong, Hung Yen, and Da Nang.

At the same time, the school grants 100 scholarships, including 70 scholarships worth more than 14 million VND/scholarship for full-time students and 30 scholarships worth 12 million VND/scholarship for students of the remaining systems.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics also extended the tuition payment deadline for all students with permanent residence in the above provinces and cities, the tuition payment deadline for 2026 is January 15, 2026.
