In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam welcomed more than 6 million international visitors, an increase of nearly 30% over the same period last year and the highest number of visitors in a quarter ever. China is the largest market with nearly 1.6 million arrivals; South Korea is second with nearly 1.3 million arrivals; followed by markets such as: Taiwan (China), Japan, India, the US, Australia, etc.

From mid-March 2025, Russian tourists will fly directly to Khanh Hoa on Azur Air flights.

The record number of visitors in the first 3 months of 2025 is the result of the promotional campaign of ministries, departments, and sectors, and the visa relaxation policy for potential markets; not only affirming the growing attraction of Vietnam as a destination on the world tourism map, but also a solid step towards the goal of welcoming 22 - 23 million international visitors in 2025. However, to achieve this goal, the tourism industry needs to build more diverse tourism products, especially products with cultural and historical depth, associated with regional identity, green tourism products... to attract more and more international visitors, increasing tourist spending.
