On August 27 in Hanoi, the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with the Office of the Standing Agency of the Government Human Rights Steering Committee, organized a conference to provide information to the press on human rights work and external information in August 2025.
Within the framework of the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information Dinh Tien Dung said that from August 28 to September 5, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the public will be treated to a special photo and video exhibition event called “Happy Vietnam”. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The exhibition includes 150 photos and 30 videos on three themes: happy land, happy people and happy moments. Each photo and video is not only a work but also a vivid story about the spiritual values of the Vietnamese people. The greatest strength is always the strength of the people. The greatest creativity is always the creativity of the people. The strongest vitality is always the vitality of the people.
It is known that these photos and videos were selected from 20,000 works, not only from professional photographers but also from Vietnamese people at home and abroad, foreign tourists and those living and working in Vietnam, sent to the award to promote Vietnam's image on the digital platform Vietnam.vn.

The exhibition does not stop at displaying, but also encourages the public to experience creativity and convey messages. Through that, each citizen becomes a part of the exhibition, joining hands to spread pride, belief and aspiration for a happy, prosperous Vietnam, entering a new era.
Specifically, the public will be able to participate in interactive activities such as taking photos at the photobooth, writing wishes at the "Happiness Tree", and trying their hand at drawing folk paintings. In particular, one of the attractions of the exhibition is the application of modern technology through 3D mapping and augmented reality (AR). Visitors can explore the entire exhibition of 80 years of socio-economic achievements digitized, multi-layer digital maps of 34 provinces and cities, and interact directly with images, sounds and digital space.
Through the exhibition space, the organizers hope to spread the message of a happy Vietnam - where happiness comes from great achievements, expressed through everyday moments, from children's smiles, working hands to the spirit of endless creativity.
The exhibition also affirms that after 80 years of independence, Vietnam has not only grown strongly in terms of economy and society, but also put the happiness of the people at the center of development. This is the core that creates endogenous strength and faith in the future.
It is known that the organizers have prepared 29,220 gifts with QR codes for visitors to experience the Vietnam promotion platform, virtual reality (VR) technology associated with familiar landmarks.
