Talking about Happiness of the past years, many people still feel regretful. The narrow dirt roads, rain and dust, have become a big barrier, separating people from the outside world . But perhaps the biggest difficulty for households here is the lack of national grid electricity.

For many years, the lives of 329 households have been without electricity, making all daily activities and production difficult. A few better-off families living near the stream have electricity from water-powered generators, which is sometimes bright and sometimes dim.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - a villager, recalls: Without electricity, people had almost no access to science and technology. At night, children's studies and family activities depended on oil lamps.
Lacking electricity, production was limited to the hills, everything relied on human labor, poverty continued to cling. At one point, the whole village had more than 40 poor households.
Then, everything began to change in 2022, when the national grid project was completed, realizing the people's long-standing wish.

With electricity, people’s lives have changed day by day. Many families have been able to buy necessary equipment and machinery for production. At the same time, the roads have also gradually been given a new look.
With the motto “The State and the People work together”, the villagers did not hesitate to donate land and contribute hundreds of working days to build concrete roads. To date, more than 90% of the roads in the village have been solidified.
When the most basic conditions are met, the strength and diligence of the people of Happiness are strongly aroused. People proactively change their way of thinking and working, boldly borrowing capital to apply science and technology.

Cinnamon trees have gradually become a staple crop, providing a stable source of income for many families. For example, Nguyen Van Cuong's family, thanks to the accumulation of 5-6 hectares of cinnamon along with raising livestock and small businesses, he has built a spacious house worth more than 1 billion VND and is now continuing to invest in expanding production more and more effectively. Not only relying on cinnamon trees, people are also looking for new directions.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh added: The village has two charcoal kilns, providing many workers with additional jobs during the off-season. People also work in construction, raise sturgeon and initially develop community tourism to increase their income.
That joint effort and unanimity has brought about “sweet fruit”. From more than 40 poor households, Hanh Phuc village now has only 11 poor households and 6 near-poor households.
Coming to Happiness today, it is easy to feel the prosperous and peaceful countryside. Clean and beautiful concrete roads wind through the villages. New, solid and spacious houses are built close together. The economy is growing, and the spiritual life of the people is also taken care of.

Cultural and sports activities are always vibrant. Notably, for the first time, the village has a student who won the provincial excellent student award, which is the pride of the whole village. The village's goal is that by 2025, the average income per capita will reach 63 million VND.
The model "Happy Village" has received the attention, unanimous support and participation of the people and brought about positive results, improving the environmental landscape, enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people, contributing to reducing the poverty rate.
The story of Hanh Phuc village is a simple yet profound proof that when the right policies that are in line with the people's wishes are implemented, especially investment in essential infrastructure such as electricity and roads, it will create a great driving force, awakening the potential of an entire land and bringing a prosperous life, true to the name "Happiness".
