Vinh Long has 98 OCOP products
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vinh Long, up to now, the whole province has 98 products meeting 3-star and 4-star OCOP standards, with 60 entities including 13 cooperatives, 17 enterprises and 30 production and business households. The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has organized training for OCOP entities on the OCOP cycle and trade promotion, introducing products on e-commerce platforms such as: postmart.vn Vinh Long agricultural product trading floor, ketnoiocop.vn, bachhoaxanh.com, voso.vn, Viettel, FPT ....
In addition, the relevant sector also coordinated with Vinh Long Radio and Television Station to register to record and broadcast OCOP products that meet 3-star to 5-star standards. Up to now, 5 products have been filmed and broadcast: Binh Minh pomelo; Ba Khanh fresh vermicelli; Mekonggreen melon; Nhat Ngoc sweet potato chips; Vilo H2O canned water). At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated to introduce OCOP products to promote and connect trade with supermarkets, shopping centers and consumer companies and enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities in the country. There are 10 entities participating in promoting and introducing products; participating in green markets in Ho Chi Minh City once a month.
People and tourists have closer access to OCOP products of Vinh Long province.
To provide more effective support, Vinh Long has put information on OCOP certified products on the province's agricultural product trading floor; In coordination with the Faculty of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Branch in Vinh Long, 10 OCOP entities participated in displaying and introducing products at the workshop "Application of technology to develop sustainable tourism supply chains".
Mr. Phan Van Giau, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long, added that on July 20, the department coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize a meeting to discuss connecting and introducing OCOP entities with tourist destinations/areas, tourist accommodation facilities (hotels; homestays...) in the province to pilot the display, promotion and sale of OCOP products.

Bringing OCOP products closer to consumers
In order to bring the province's OCOP products closer to tourists and consumers, on August 5, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province to organize the opening ceremony of the OCOP product display and sales point at the Vinh Long Provincial Passenger Port waiting room (Ward 9, Vinh Long City), with all items and products recognized as OCOP in the past time.
Mr. Nguyen Van Liet, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, said that the province's OCOP program has achieved many remarkable results in recent times, promoting the strengths and advantages of local materials, culture and indigenous knowledge. Specialties and products contribute to increasing the value of agricultural products, medicinal plants, and handicraft products in the direction of a circular economy, ensuring a sustainable ecosystem.

The OCOP program has also promoted the initiative, creativity, and cooperative spirit of the subjects and the community to develop products to meet market demands. At the same time, it is associated with the goal of creating jobs, increasing income for people, and preserving landscapes and traditional culture.
Currently, Vinh Long has simultaneously deployed two additional product display and sales points at the Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet Memorial Site (Vung Liem Town, Vung Liem District) and Coco Home Garden House (Hoa Ninh Commune, Long Ho District, Vinh Long). In the coming time, the province will organize the display and sale of OCOP products in all localities in the province.
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council (at the provincial and district levels) continue to inspect and monitor the quality and food safety of OCOP products after they have been evaluated and classified. In addition, the relevant authorities also proactively review, inspect, and re-evaluate expired products according to regulations and consider recalling OCOP products that do not meet quality and food safety requirements.
