Vinh Long organizes Agricultural Festival

On August 31, the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province announced the plan to organize the Vietnam Agricultural Products Festival - Vinh Long 2023 taking place from September 11 to 17 with a scale of about 300 participating booths, estimated to cost over 25 billion VND from socialized sources.

The Vietnam Agricultural Festival - Vinh Long 2023 is an important event organized to promote agricultural development and promote Vietnamese agricultural products.

Within the framework of the Festival program, the main activities include exhibitions and displays of agricultural products, display and sales booths, business forums and seminars on agricultural development. There are also cultural, entertainment and sports activities, and scholarships for students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study well.

According to the Organizing Committee, with the theme of Enhancing Vietnamese Agricultural Products, this Festival will have the participation of collectives and individuals who are the owners of key agricultural products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products... of localities; units and enterprises.

Within the framework of the Festival, many activities took place to honor and promote the value of Vietnamese agricultural products such as: Artistic path of typical agricultural products - the driving force for new rural development; Red ceramic art path; Contest of delicious meals made from home garden products; Contest of delicious dishes made from typical agricultural products of Vinh Long...

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province, the festival not only brings local agricultural products to retail systems but also targets e-commerce platforms. Through activities at the Festival, agricultural products will have more diverse outputs, thereby contributing to the development of the local economy and creating prestige for agricultural products with Vietnamese brands.

In addition, this event aims to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the birth of Professor, Academician, Hero of Labor, Major General Tran Dai Nghia (September 13, 1913 - September 13, 2023).
