
At the close of the morning trading session on November 26th, the market maintained its positive momentum with green dominating all three exchanges. The VN-Index rose 7.28 points to 1,667.64 points. Trading volume reached over 409.3 million shares, equivalent to over 12,221.8 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, 198 stocks increased, 93 decreased, and 57 remained unchanged.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 3.62 points to 260.92 points with a trading volume of over 32.2 million shares, equivalent to 680.5 billion VND; 69 stocks increased, 49 decreased, and 51 remained unchanged. The UPCOM-Index increased 0.2 points to 119.2 points, with a trading volume of 12.7 million shares, equivalent to 119 billion VND.
The oil and gas sector recovered across the board, no longer showing red; stocks such as PVC, PVB, TOS, PVS, PVD, BSR , and PLX all traded in the green.
In terms of impact, VPL led the positive influence on the VN-Index. GEE and VPB also provided significant support. Conversely, VIC was the stock that hindered the index's upward momentum.
Looking at the sectors, green was widespread. The non-essential consumer goods sector led the way with gains, notably VPL up 4.29%, FRT up 1.55%, HUT up 1.83%, MSH up 1.02%, PET up 2.08%, and HTM up 13.19%.
The financial and industrial sectors also recorded many positive points: VIX hit the ceiling price, SSI increased by 2.44%, VPB increased by 1.6%, SHS increased by 4.85%, VCI increased by 2.7%, VND increased by 3.02%; along with GEX increasing by 6.43%, CII increased by 3.16%, VSC increased by 4.39%, HAH increased by 2.16% and GEE increased to the maximum limit.
Conversely, real estate was the worst-performing sector in the morning session due to selling pressure on VIC (down 1.32%) and VHM (down 0.97%). However, most of the remaining stocks maintained their gains, such as VRE (up 2.1%), KSF (up 2.15%), KDH (up 1.3%), PDR (up 1.38%), DXG (up 1.36%), and CEO (up 2.43%).
The market entered the afternoon session with positive sentiment, and capital flows spread across many sectors.
