Mr. Duong Minh Ninh - coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai club who passed away last year - is one of the new graduates receiving their diplomas this time.

The late coach Duong Minh Ninh (1977-2023) was associated with Hoang Anh Gia Lai club for many years, was the head coach of the mountain town football team and was invited to join the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team. He and many Hoang Anh Gia Lai players studied Physical Education at the University of Sports and Physical Education in Ho Chi Minh City.

In August 2023, Coach Duong Minh Ninh passed away in a traffic accident. The late coach's wife attended the graduation ceremony on her husband's behalf, tearfully receiving his bachelor's degree with honors.

The graduation ceremony and awarding of bachelor's degrees in Physical Education of Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Physical Education took place this morning (December 19). Luong Xuan Truong, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Le Van Son, Tran Huu Dong Trieu and Nguyen Huu Anh Tai held their bachelor's degrees in their hands after 10 years.

Xuan Truong, Cong Phuong and their teammates enrolled in 2014 after graduating from high school. At that time, this group of players made a big splash in the U19 Vietnam team.

In addition to the 6 players mentioned above, there are a number of other teammates who also studied and graduated this time but did not attend. Among them, Vu Van Thanh and Nguyen Van Toan are on duty with the Vietnamese team at the AFF Cup (ASEAN Cup) 2024.
