Mr. Dang Van Thanh's wife returns to the board of directors of TTC AgriS

(NLDO) - Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc, wife of Mr. Dang Van Thanh, returned to work as a member of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS after leaving the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors in July 2024.

Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (TTC AgriS - stock code SBT) has just held the annual general meeting of shareholders for the fiscal year 2023 - 2024.

TTC AgriS announced a sudden profit increase of more than 33% at the annual general meeting of shareholders for the fiscal year 2023 - 2024, and elected an additional member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Quang Phuc.

The congress approved the 2024-2025 fiscal year plan, changed the members of the Board of Directors (BOD), and unanimously supported improving corporate governance efficiency, towards international standards.

At the end of the 2023 - 2024 fiscal year, TTC AgriS achieved sugar consumption output exceeding 1 million tons for the 5th consecutive year; net revenue of VND 29,021 billion - completing 141% of the plan and increasing by 17% over the same period. Profit after tax reached VND 806 billion, increasing by 33% over the same period.

TTC AgriS plans to pay stock dividends at a rate of 10% with a value of more than 740 billion VND, expected issuance time before June 2025.

The congress also approved the dismissal of Mr. Dao Duy Thi from the Board of Directors and Ms. Vo Thuy Anh from the Board of Directors. The congress approved the number of members of the Board of Directors to be 5. Accordingly, Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc and Mr. Le Quang Phuc were elected to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Le Quang Phuc is also a long-time independent member of the Board of Directors of large-cap listed companies, such as Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ)...

Thus, the new Board of Directors of TTC AgriS includes: Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My (Chairwoman of the Board of Directors), Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc (member), Mr. Tran Tan Viet (member), Mr. Le Quang Phuc (independent member) and Mr. Tran Trong Gia Vinh (independent member).

Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc is the wife and Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My is the daughter of Mr. Dang Van Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Thanh Cong Group.

Last July, Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc left her position as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and her daughter, Dang Huynh Uc My, took over.

Assessing the prospects of the world sugar industry, TTC AgriS presented to the congress a cautious business plan for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, with a revenue target of VND 26,168 billion, pre-tax profit of VND 900 billion, and pre-tax profit margin expected to increase from 3.1% to 3.4%.

At the meeting, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, said that sustainable development is an important factor promoting the longevity of TTC AgriS. The company will be more focused and determined by thoroughly implementing international standards in modern corporate governance. TTC AgriS is also focusing all its efforts to achieve the revenue target of 60,000 billion ahead of schedule.
