As one of the first Android smartphone brands to develop foldable phones, Samsung is currently leading the way with its Galaxy Fold line. In contrast, Apple is still out of this trend.
Let's say you're an Apple ecosystem user looking to switch to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung has something for you. Download the One UI 5.1.1 beta and experience what it's like to use the Fold 5 or Flip 5 right on your iPhone.
The latest update to the Try Galaxy app now adds 20 languages, and more importantly, it lets you place two iPhones side by side, connect them wirelessly, and simulate them as a Galaxy Z Fold 5.
All you need to do is go to trygalaxy.com or scan the QR code on it with your first iPhone and set up a device to display the code. Then proceed with the pairing on your second iPhone using this code.
Now you can use two iPhones to see exclusive features on Samsung's foldable smartphone like FlexCam, it also allows you to test drag and drop functionality, interact with widgets and icons on the One UI 5.1.1 home screen as well as the Samsung Health app as if you were using a foldable Galaxy.
It also includes a pretty cool game to convince the gamer in you that you’re missing a big screen, and Samsung also recommends trying it out with two similarly sized iPhones for the best experience.
Android Police mobile editor Will Sattelberg set up Try Galaxy on two iPhones, putting tape between them to test the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
While the experience is unique and fun, it lacks the finesse of an actual phone, he said.
